Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
From the lipid profile report you have posted, the following things can be inferred.
1. Total cholesterol level of 223 mg/dl is quite high, as normal would be expected to be below 180 mg/dl.
2. LDL levels is marginally high with 167 mg/dl, as it is preferred to be below 160 mg/dl.
3. Ratio also is quite high with 5.86, which needs to be less than 5.
The report is indicative of lipid derangements. You can bring this levels back to normal and keep a check on it by means of diet and exercise.
Intake of low carbohydrate diet, low fat diet and protein rich diet will help you to keep your lipid profile levels under check.
Exercise of 30 to 40 everyday will help you to reduce the lipid levels.
Kindly follow strictly diet and exercise regime and check your fasting lipid profile after 6 months. You can continue with it in case it has reduced satisfactorily. Otherwise you may need to take medications to lower the lipid levels and maintain them within normal limits.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
